Nous sommes Nan Na Hvass et Sofie Hannibal, un duo d’illustratrices danoises.
-Who are you?
We are Nan Na Hvas and Sofie Hannibal, a young Danish design duo.
Quel âge avez-vous ?
Nous avons toutes les deux 26 ans.
-How old are you?
We are both 26 years old
Quel est votre parcours ?
Nous faisons des études de communication visuelle à la Danish School of Design de Copenhague. En dehors de cela, nous bossons pas mal en freelance et participons à plusieurs projets artistiques.
-What is your career?
We study visual communication at the Danish School of Design in Copenhagen
Apart from studying we spend lots of time doing freelance work, and also participating in various projects
Comment êtes-vous venu au graphisme et à l’illustration ?
Nous nous fréquentions déjà au lycée puis après les cours, nous nous retrouvions déjà dans un cours d’arts plastiques, où le thème principal était l’illustration. Je crois que depuis nous avons toujours voulu dessiner et créer. Par conséquent, c’est vers cette voie que nous nous sommes dirigées et depuis un an et demi nous avons uni nos forces pour créer ensemble.
-How did you come to graphic design and illustration?
We knew each other already in high school, and back then we took a "design" class after school, where the main theme was illustration.
I guess since then we've always wanted to draw and make images and art, so that's the career we have both pursued, and about one and a half year ago, we decided to join forces and work together.
Quelles sont vos sources d’inspirations ? Voss artistes, graphistes et illustrateurs favoris ?
Nous nous rendons régulièrement sur www.vvork.com mais sinon c’est très dur de citer les artistes qui nous inspirent… On en aime tellement !
-Which are your sources of inspirations? Your favorites artists, graphic designers and illustrators?
We often look at the page www.vvork.com for inspiration, but it's hard to pinpoint specific artists that we are inspired by... There are so many that we like!
Sur quoi travaillez-vous habituellement ? Livres ? Pub ? Website ? Fringues ?
La plupart du temps, nous bossons dans le domaine de la musique. Nous avons fait quelques pochettes d’album (parmi lesquelles celle du single d’« À cause des garçons » de Yelle, ndlr) et des flyers pour des concerts, des performances… Nous avons également fait quelques T-shirts. La pub n’est pas notre truc pour le moment et les livres peuvent se révéler intéressants mais nous n’en avons encore jamais réalisé !
-On which projects do you work primarily? Books? Advertisings? Website? Clothes?
A lot of the time we work with music; we've done quite a few album covers, and flyers/posters for concerts, performance outfits for bands etc. We've also done a few T-shirt designs. Advertising is not really our thing at the moment and books could be interesting, but we haven't done any yet!
Futurs projets ?
Un nouveau site pour Hvass&Hannibal… Nous en avons vraiment besoin ! Et plein d’autres trucs marrants et intéressants, nous vous tiendrons au courant !
-Future projects?
A new website for Hvass&Hannibal... We really need one! And lot's of fun and interesting things, we'll keep you posted!
